GPEG announces the launch of their latest state of the art Panoramic TFT display the FDT-I430LA01-GP.

This unique display features a 43 inch 4:1 aspect ratio colour active matrix liquid crystal display with a resolution of 1920 x 480 (UHVGA) displaying up to 16.7 million colours. The panel incorporates a LVDS interface for simple connection to external devices, low power consumption and a narrow bezel.

The display can be operated in both landscape and portrait modes ensuring that the unit will fit into a wide variety of spaces where conventional displays are not suitable due to their physical size. The narrow, 12mm, bezel allows the display to be easily extended to form a ‘Video Wall’ type display, for example a 1x6 43” panoramic display for a truly ‘wide screen’ experience.

Featuring a wide viewing angle of +/- 178 deg. a contrast ratio of 3500:1, a brightness of 700cd/m2 and a fast response time of 8mS this display is ideal for many applications including; Casino, Restaurant, Theatre, Airport, Shopping Malls and Department Stores.

Knauf AMF’s new Thermatex SF Acoustic helps in a tight spot

As a leading global manufacturer of ceiling solutions, Knauf AMF recognises the importance of good ceiling design in creating high quality interiors. Aesthetics and functionality are equally important, which is why Knauf AMF have developed a brand new edge detail for their highly successful Thermatex Acoustic range.

The new SF shadow edge creates an attractive, elegant ceiling even in areas with minimal ceiling void. The new Thermatex SF Acoustic range has been designed to be installed entirely from below the ceiling grid, quickly and simply. Traditional ceilings may need up to 150mm of space for installation, but the new SF range requires only 75mm, including the grid. Installation and removal of individual tiles is achieved by a small shift of the tile along the tee grid. This means any services located in the void can be left directly above the tile and remain easily accessible for maintenance.

Given the current economic climate, many businesses are choosing to refurbish their premises rather than relocate and Thermatex SF Acoustic is an ideal choice, particularly in some older buildings where ceiling height is at a premium. Even with little installation height available, the SF edge makes it possible to create a contemporary suspended ceiling with a white, homogeneous surface in a discreet module. For more contrast in ceiling design, the tile can also be installed on grid in various RAL colours.

The visual effect of the SF shadow edge is similar to that of a grouted ceramic tile, with minimal exposure of the grid. Performance is not compromised either since invisible perforations in the Thermatex SF Acoustic tiles achieve high values in sound absorption, making it the perfect choice for busy offices, retail and leisure environments.
