Total Retail - A new retail concept
In the ever-evolving world of retailing, it can be difficult for decision-makers
in the industry to keep abreast of the new concepts and changes that affect
their business. Indeed, the last ten years have seen a monumental shift in the
way shopfitters, designers and store groups conduct their business. And
small wonder, when the traditional clutch of trade publications simply play
to the gallery, and offer up nothing very different.

That is why we are delighted and proud to introduce Total Retail magazine.
Published 11 times a year, Total Retail caters for every part of the industry.
Total Retail covers the whole spectrum, from store design and shopfitting to
new products and technical developments. Total Retail champions the people
who matter – the designers, product developers and shopfitters, along with
the ‘movers and shakers’ in the retail industry. Total Retail will always stay
ahead of design trends and offer a forum for debate, whilst serving as a
showcase for the best retail projects, both here and abroad. Total Retail is
packed with news, views, people on the move and up-to-the-minute
business pages.

Be at the business end with Total Retail, or be at the end of
business without it!

General Design Guidelines
Flash ads must conform to all standard Total Retail ad specs and guidelines, in addition to the specs noted below.

Use the default 15 to maximum 18 frames per second as a guideline.
If desired, animation on rollover after the initial animation is allowed, as long as the animation stops as soon as the user rolls off of the ad.
Do not rely on setting the background colour in the movie properties. Please create a bottom layer of the colour desired for the background. A backup GIF must be supplied.

Total Retail reserves the right to reject any insertion, graphic, text description, or URL.

Faux-functionality or misleading users into clicking on an ad is not permitted.

As a general rule, true functionality ads should avoid use of Total Retail colour schemes. If the functionality ads do use Total Retail colour schemes, however, the ads must include text such as "advertisement" (in the upper bar or top left-hand side of the banner) or "For more information, click here!" and the advertiser’s name (e.g. "from glass company").

Banners should be encased in a border and distinct from the content. If borderless, a banner must contain the advertiser’s name to signify that it is an ad creative banner, not content.

Ads may not have transparent backgrounds and may never blend into the screen content.
